Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune established in 1996, received recognition of the Medical Council of India (MCI), for the award of MBBS Degree from its very first batch. Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune comprising of Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, has been accorded the status of University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

This is the first private College in the State of Maharashtra to receive MCI approval to increase in the intake capacity of MBBS Course from 100 to 150 students in 2003 and from 150 to 250 in 2012, within the short span of time.

The MBBS programme offered by Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Center, Pune, is recognized by the Malaysian Government and Malaysian Medical Council. The International Recognition will enable our Medical College students to be appointed as Government Doctors in Malaysia, a unique opportunity to have international exposure in the field of Medicine

Elgibility:
Student must pass degree of M.B.B.S from an recognized University.
The student should have completed such period of post examination or rotating intrenship.

Admission Process:

• Candidate should obtain 50% or more marks at AIPGMET – 2012 to qualify for admission.
• The provisional selection for the General Seats in the Post Graduate Courses will be done on the basis of merit in All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (AIPGMET – 2012).
• When all the Seats in a given Course are filled admission of students to that Course will instantaneously cease and Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Pune will not be responsible for non-availability of seats and non allotment of seats to rest of the candidates.

• Two recent photographs taken from same negative without cap or goggles taken within last six months. One should be pasted on the application form duly attested by the Principal/Dean of the College or any Gazetted Officer. The other should be stapled to the application form.
