Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

MBBS Stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Typically, MBBS (Medicine and Surgery) is a 5 or 6 years course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) in science with more than 50%marks. Surgery is essentially the process of utilizing instrumental techniques on a person by the doctors for investigating as well as treating a pathological condition, for instance disease or injury.

Eligibility and Admissions:

• The eligibility for admission to Dr. B R Ambedkar Medical College is as follows:
• Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
• Candidates of minority status should have Tulu speaking certificate from appropriate authorities.
• Candidates from outside Karnataka State must get eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Admission Details:

• A candidate must have passed P.U.C. II year or 10+2 equivalent examination recognized by RGUHS securing at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology combined together and 50% marks in either of the Entrance Test that includes:
