JJM Medical College in Davangere MBBS Admissions 2015/Courses

JJM Medical College in Davangere is a well established and old college of repute instituted in the year 1965. JJM stands for Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra and belongs to the BEA (Bapuji Educational Association). Hi tech labs, esteemed members of the staff, name it and you have it in the college. The JJM Medical College is built on a vast expanse of land and each department in the college houses a library that is state of the art. Admission Criteria:
  1. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
  2. Must have passed two year PUC examination of Karnataka State with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English language.
  3. Any other examination recognized as equivalent by RGUHS, Karnataka, Bangalore.
  4. Must have secured not less than 50% marks in optional subjects and English (40% for SC/ST and Category-I Candidates).
  5. Candidates passing the qualifying examination from institutions outside Karnataka must produce “Eligibility Certificate” from RGUHS.
  6. Should have secured 50% of marks at the competitive entrance test conducted by the competent authorities in Karnataka.

Admission: – Admission based on CET Score conducted by Karnataka State Government
MBBS (Medicine and Surgery)- Stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Typically, MBBS (Medicine and Surgery) is a 5 or 6 years course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) in science with more than 50%marks. Surgery is essentially the process of utilizing instrumental techniques on a person by the doctors for investigating as well as treating a pathological condition, for instance disease or injury.
