Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (Sri Siddhartha University), (declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956) Tumkur, was established vide MHRD GOI No. F.9-31/2006-U.3 (A) dated: 30/05/2008 of Govt. of India. Sri Siddhartha Medical College and Sri Siddhartha Dental College have been functioning as constituent colleges of Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education since 01/06/2008. Further as per Govt. of India notification vide No. F.9-31/2006-U.3(A) Dtd. 16/12/2008, the UGC in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, included Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Maralur, Tumkur, as an off-campus constituent teaching unit of Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, Tumkur with effect from 06/03/2009.
SRI SIDDHARTHA EDUCATION
SOCIETY (S S E S) was founded by late Sri H M Gangadhariah also the
founder secretary of the society, with the blessings of saint and seer,
the father of “Bhoodan movement” Sri Vinobha Bhave in 1959, has made a
leap in the field of education. The Society which started as a
residential school in a village near tumkur then established several
nursery, primary and high schools including Pali schools in the later
years. It further expanded its domain to Technical, Medical and Dental
Education. Today the total number of institutions runs by the Society
crosses 85 with a total students strength of more than 16000 and staff
strength 1800. The main objective of the society is to “REACH THE
UNREACHED” in the field of Education.
Sri Siddhartha has grown to be the hub of higher education with excellent teaching facilities and highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty. With diversified professional courses, the range of subjects is wide giving a good choice to the students seeking admission here. Leadership always plays a vital role in this process and was carefully nurtured. The Society is fortunate enough to have two illustrious sons of the founder who are equally zealous and committed to the founder’s goals. Dr. G. Shivaprasad, an eminent Ophthalmologist, is the Secretary and Dr.G.Parameshwara a reputed agriculture Scientist is the Joint Secretary of the Society.
All India Post Graduate Entrance Test 2016 (AIPGET - 2016), Application are invited from eligible candidates for Admissions to post Graduate- MD, MS, PG Diploma Courses in Medical & MDS Course in Dental for the year 2016- 17 at the following constituent colleges of the University viz.

Eligibility:
For MBBS/ BDS:
The candidate should have passed in the second year Pre-University or 12th
standard or HSC or Equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry &
Biology in respect of Medical and Dental courses as optional subjects
and English as one of the language. It is mandatory, that the candidate
has obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks or equivalent
grade in the optional subjects is eligible for admission. 40% in case of
candidates belonging to reserved category for Medical and Dental
course. (As declared by the Government of Karnataka from time to time).
For BE:
The
candidate shall passed PUC or 10+2 or HSC or Equivalent examination
with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the
following subjects: - Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology and has
secured not less than 50% of marks taken together in the optional
subjects with English as one of the language. 45% in case of candidates
to reserved category. (As declared by the Government of Karnataka from
time to time).
For M.Tech:
Admission
to M.Tech Course shall be open to the candidates who have passed the
prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks
in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. However,
in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Group I, the aggregate
percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall not be less
than 45%.
For MD/ MS/ MDS:
The
University is conforming to the relevant regulations/ norms of the UGC
and other statutory bodies concerned. Admissions will be made on All
India basis to the identical courses through a common entrance test
conducted by the University. All India Entrance Test at various centers
all over the country for admission to all discipline of the University.
The Candidates will be admitted to various courses on the basis of merit
in the entrance test. Students seeking admission should have valid
entrance scores. Allotment of the course (For PG Courses) will be done
by Centralized admission policy of the University.
For MCA:
Admission
to Master of Computer Application Course the candidates shall have
passed Bachelor Degree with not less than 50% of marks with Mathematics
or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Programming or Computer
Applications or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of
the optional or electives. However, in the case of candidates belonging
to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category I, the marks shall be
not less than 45%.
