Mahatma
Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Pondicherry is started in the year 2001. The college is
situated in Pillaiyarkuppam, Pondicherry/Puducherry.
The
institute is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi and
recognized by the Government of Puducherry.
The
college was started by Sree Balaji Educational and Charitable Public Trust. It
is a constituent part of Sri BalajiVidyapeeth University, deemed university.
The
college also offers diploma courses in the field of medical science. The
institute is aimed at imparting medical education and producing well trained
health personnel who can support the healthcare system.
The
institute is well equipped with all the basic facilities in its campus. It
provides full exposure to its students for gaining practical exposure under the

institute is the flagship institution of Sri Balaji Educational and Charitable
Public Trust (SBECPT), founded by its chairman, Shri M.K. Rajagopalan, is a

essentially the process of utilizing instrumental techniques on a person by the
doctors for investigating as well as treating a pathological condition, for
instance disease or injury.
